Emin Jabbarov

Emin Jabbarov is a security analyst and the Executive Director of Heartland Asia, an analytical-expert centre focused on regional geopolitics. He concurrently serves as a senior lecturer at Narxoz University in Almaty, where he teaches International Security and Strategic studies. His research centres on military security, terrorism, and ethnic conflicts across Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Middle East.

Prior to his current roles, Emin served as Chief Expert at the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan and spent 15 years as a commissioned officer in the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, retiring at the rank of major. He is a recipient of Kazakhstan’s prestigious Presidential Scholarship “Bolashak”.
