Gulkhanim Mammadova

Gulkhanim Mammadova is a researcher specialising in urban development and peacebuilding in the South Caucasus. She currently contributes to the development of Azerbaijan’s National Urban Policy through her work with UN-Habitat Azerbaijan.

Before joining UN-Habitat, she spent five years at the Baku-based Topchubashov Center, where she focused on geopolitical developments in the South Caucasus and the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalisation process. Her research centred on post-conflict dynamics, identity issues, and the Youth, Peace and Security and Women, Peace and Security agendas.
