Yulia Antonyan

Assistant Professor in the Department of Cultural Studies, Faculty of History at Yerevan State University

Yulia is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Cultural Studies, Faculty of History, at Yerevan State University. She teaches Cultural Anthropology, Anthropology of Religions, and Cultural History of Modernity. She is an active participant of a number of academic and public activities such as research, conferences and consulting

At the time of the 2003 JS Fellowship Programme Yuliya was Programme Officer for the Eurasia Foundation working on their civil society and public administration projects. Previously Yulia was a Freelance Evaluator for the Jinishyan Memorial Foundation (JMF). The JMF is sponsored and maintained by the Jinishyan Memorial Program of the Presbyterian Church (USA). JMF works to: relieve the immediate suffering of the most vulnerable and marginalized groups through material and spiritual assistance; strengthen Armenian civil society through support to NGOs; and reduce poverty by supporting the development of sustainable activities.

Yulia currently provides free consultations to the JMF from time to time.
