Dina Khaskelberg is a human rights lawyer from Russia with more than a decade of experience defending freedom of expression, independent journalism and civil society. Since 2013, she has been working on politically sensitive cases involving journalists, activists and individuals facing persecution in Russia, and continues to provide legal support in such cases today.
She is currently coordinating a programme at JX Fund supporting independent Russian and Belarusian media in exile through strategic development, legal and structural support, international partnerships, and programmes aimed at strengthening sustainable journalism in exile.
Alongside her legal and advocacy work, she promotes deeper awareness of Russia’s regional diversity, highlighting voices and experiences beyond Moscow and shaping a more nuanced international perspective on the country’s social and cultural landscape.
