Laura Moorlag

Communications and Events Officer

Laura joined the John Smith Trust in 2025 as our Communications and Events Officer. She is responsible for the Trust’s social media and communications, and supports the delivery of events across the fellowship programmes.

Originally from the Netherlands, she has a degree in History and Philosophy from the University of Groningen, and in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies from the University of Glasgow. She previously worked as an administrator and a bicycle courier, and has a strong interest in sustainability, social justice and civil society.
