Murad Muradov

Murad Muradov graduated with a bachelor’s degree international relations from the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2011), a master’s in diplomacy and international affairs from the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (2013) and an MSc in comparative politics from the London School of Economics (2015).

Murad has worked in Azerbaijan at the Export and Investment Promotion Fund (2013-14), the State Oil Fund (2016-21) and at Azerbaijan Investment Holding (2021-22). In 2018, he established a non-government think tank, the Topchubashov Center, focused on foreign policy and security analysis, where he has been Deputy Director and a full-time staff member since 2023.

He participated in the John Smith Trust Fellowship for Wider Europe in 2017, as well as having participated in a number of other training programs, summer schools and fellowships both in Azerbaijan and abroad. His areas of expertise cover security and geopolitics of post-Soviet countries, Western European politics and international political economy.
