Vadim Vieru

Vadim Vieru is a human rights lawyer and Programme Director at Promo-LEX, a Moldovan NGO defending human rights and democratic standards. Based in Chișinău, his work focuses on civil and political rights, with particular emphasis on the situation in the breakaway Transnistrian region. He has advocated for national legislation to recognise and protect internally displaced people fleeing Transnistrian region, addressing not only shelter, but their rights to education, social protection and healthcare.

Vadim works closely with the Moldovan government, EU partners, and international human rights bodies to advance these protections. He is committed to strengthening the rule of law in Moldova and amplifying the voices of those affected by ongoing conflict and displacement in the wider region.
